Alfred A. Cave Fellowship for Research on Indigenous History
The William L. Clements Library at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor offers a range of short-term and long-term fellowships to support research in the library's extensive collections of pre-1900 materials related to the history of North America. Of particular interest to NAISA members is the Alfred A. Cave Fellowship, a month-long fellowship specifically for scholars conducting research in Native American and Indigenous history. Short-term fellowships offer $2,500 and require a minimum residency of one month for full-time library research. Fellows will be selected on the basis of the applicant’s scholarly qualifications, the potential significance of the project, and the fit of the proposed research with the collections at the Clements Library. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2021. See the Clements Library website for more details.
