UVic is now seeking to appoint a new Vice-President, Academic and Provost. Reporting to the President, this position provides strategic and inspired leadership of the University’s academic and associated units in the fulfillment of the university’s mission. As a key member of the university’s leadership team, the Vice-President’s portfolio includes all faculties and academic units, Registrar and Enrolment Services, Student and Campus Services, Athletics and Recreation, Cooperative Education Program and Career Services, Learning and Teaching Support and Innovation, and Institutional Planning and Analysis.

UVic’s next Provost will be an innovative and inspiring academic leader with a demonstrated commitment to Indigenization and equity, diversity and inclusion. They will have a track record of administrative success, financial acumen, academic planning, and building collaborative teams. They will be student-centred leader who shares UVic’s goals for an inclusive, vibrant and engaging learning community that supports academic and individual student success. Their leadership will be values-based and they will possess the interpersonal skills needed to build excellent relationships across disciplines and among the diverse groups that make up UVic.
