The Native American Studies Program at Dartmouth College invites applications for a tenure track faculty position. The appointment, effective July 1, 2011, will be made at the rank of assistant professor (at either the entry or advanced level). We invite applicants whose principal area of research and scholarship is in Native American Studies (or comparable concentration), and whose area of expertise complements but does not duplicate the expertise of the current NAS faculty. The successful applicant will have the Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment, and should show promise of excellence in scholarship along with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
