The School of Public Administration at the University of New Mexico is seeking a tenure-track Faculty member with a research and teaching specialization in Native American Policy and Administration. Rank is open. The position will remain open until filled. The successful candidate will develop and teach in the Native American Policy and Administration concentration in the MPA program, as well as in the MPA core curriculum. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Public Administration, Political Science or a related social science discipline. Appointment rank is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Strong candidates for senior ranks will have a distinguished record of scholarship and publication, as well as significant teaching experience and external grants funding record. As permitted by Title VII, preference will be given to qualified Native American candidates. The MPA program in the School of Public Administration is one of the oldest NASPAA accredited programs in the nation. The University of New Mexico is a Carnegie Doctoral Very High Research Activity Institution and a Hispanic Serving Institution, with over 33,000 students on the main and branch campuses.
