*The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Oglala Lakota College invites applications to fill a full time position in Social Science with some emphasis in the Humanities.

JOB DUTIES:
1. To teach a minimum of four upper and lower division courses per semester.
2. Requires travel to teach courses.
3. Some online teaching may be required.
4. To teach and deliver lower and upper division courses in social science.
5. Advising of social science majors and collaboration in the assessment and further development of social science program.
6. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ph.D. in History, Sociology, Anthropology, Geography, Political Science, or a closely related field preferred.
2. Masters degree in content area required
3. Demonstrate intention to pursue Doctorate.
4. Evidence of excellence in teaching and a background in working with indigenous and diverse student populations.
5. Must take and pass alcohol/drug screening test and background check.
6. Knowledge of tribal history, culture, philosophy, and language.
