The Aboriginal Governance Program at The University of Winnipeg invites applications for a 12-month term position at the rank of Assistant Professor. This appointment is effective July 1, 2010 and is subject to budgetary approval. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Qualifications include a completed or nearly completed Ph.D. Teaching experience at the university level and the ability to communicate effectively in an Indigenous language are assets. Duties will include serving on committees and teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in any of the following areas: Indigenous oral history, law, literature, philosophy, politics, and the role/status of women.
The University of Winnipeg is a public university of approximately 9000 students, with a focus on the liberal arts.
