The English Department at Oklahoma State University seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Native American and Indigenous literatures of any period. The faculty member would teach two courses a semester at the undergraduate and graduate levels and conduct research in her/his field of specialization. There are also opportunities for associate editorship of American Indian Quarterly and interdisciplinary collaboration with the American Indian Studies Program, the Center for Sovereign Nations, and the American Studies Program.

This position is key to Oklahoma State’s land-grant mission of engaging communities, including tribal nations, within and beyond the university. Oklahoma State University consistently ranks among institutions with the highest number of Native American graduates.
